Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Installation:

• Read and interpret plumbing drawings, schematics, and isometrics.
• Install, assemble, and connect pipes, fittings, fixtures (sinks, toilets, showers, faucets), valves, and appliances (water heaters, etc.) for water supply, drainage, waste, vent (DWV), and gas systems.
• Perform rough-in and finish plumbing work in new construction and renovation projects.
• Install underground piping systems (water mains, sewer lines).
• Work with various pipe materials (CPVC, PVC, Copper, PEX, GI, HDPE, Cast Iron).

Maintenance & Repair:

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on existing plumbing systems.
• Clear clogged drains and pipes using appropriate methods and tools.
• Repair or replace damaged pipes, fittings, fixtures, and valves.
• Troubleshoot issues with water pressure, leaks, and drainage.

Testing & Commissioning:

• Perform pressure tests on piping systems to ensure integrity and leak-free operation.
• Assist in system flushing, disinfection, and commissioning activities.
• Identify and report defects or non-conformities.

Compliance & Safety:

• Strictly adhere to all KSA building codes, project specifications, and international standards (e.g., IPC, UPC).
• Comply rigorously with company and site-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures at all times. Wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Teamwork & Communication:

• Work effectively as part of a diverse construction team (plumbers, other trades, supervisors).
• Take clear direction from Foremen and Supervisors.
• Communicate progress, issues, and requirements clearly to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate daily work reports or time sheets as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-7 years of relevant hands-on plumbing experience, primarily on large-scale commercial, industrial, or residential construction projects. Experience in the Gulf region (especially KSA) is a significant advantage.
• Certification: A recognized Plumbing Trade Certificate/Diploma or equivalent apprenticeship completion is mandatory. Proof of qualifications required.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and plumbing schematics.
• Strong practical skills in installing and repairing various piping systems and fixtures.
• Solid understanding of plumbing principles, codes (familiarity with Saudi codes highly desirable), and best practices.
• Competence in using standard plumbing tools and equipment (pipe threaders, cutters, benders, torches, press tools, etc.).

Expatriate Requirements:

• Valid passport with minimum 1-2 years validity.
• Clean criminal record.
• Medical Fitness: Must pass the KSA pre-employment medical examination as mandated by Saudi authorities.
• Work Permit/Iqama: Employer will sponsor, but candidate must meet all KSA visa eligibility criteria. Experience working on an Expat Iqama is preferred. (Note: Mention if Iqama transfer is possible).

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to quality.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Good communication skills (Basic English essential; Arabic language skills a plus).
• Adaptability to living and working in Saudi Arabia.
